🛠️ Our Services
Scottish Disabled Sports Trust Picnic Fund, we offer a range of services designed to support the welfare of seals and promote marine conservation. These include
Seal Rescue and Rehabilitation
We respond to reports of seals in distress, including those that are injured, sick, or orphaned. Our experienced team provides emergency care, rehabilitation, and releases seals back into the wild once they are fit and healthy.
Seal Monitoring and Research
We conduct ongoing research on seal populations, health, and behaviors in Orkney. By monitoring these marine mammals, we aim to better understand their needs and contribute to effective conservation strategies.
Public Education and Awareness
We offer educational programs and resources to raise awareness about the importance of seal conservation. Through outreach, we encourage local communities and visitors to take an active role in protecting seals and their habitats.
Volunteer and Community Engagement
We rely on dedicated volunteers to help with rescue efforts, research, and outreach. By joining our volunteer program, you can directly contribute to the care and protection of Orkney’s seals.
Partnerships and Collaborations
We work closely with local authorities, veterinary professionals, marine biologists, and environmental organizations to enhance our rescue and conservation efforts.
